OPAC is the Online Public Access Catalogue or, in other words, the library catalogue. It is an online database of all of the resources held in the library. You can search OPAC to locate books in the library. It lists the number of the items, whether they are in the library or out on loan, and their call number. Reference Section is located on the first floor of College Library, where users are only allowed to read & refer the books or if require take the photocopy of the same. Reference sources like General and Subject Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Biographical Dictionaries, Atlases, and valuable books on different subjects are available for users. A special volume of the “The World Book Encyclopedia Vol-1 to Vol-22” is our prize collection. The reference books and current volume of periodicals/Journals shall not be issued.

Library has Book Bank facility, which is very much helpful in fulfilling student’s requirement for the prescribed books on semester basis. The Book Bank has a separate collection of books other than the library books. The project aims to help economically backward students who study well. Book bank is providing 3-5 books (as per availability) to the students for the complete semester in the beginning of academic session. Students will be required to deposit the books after the completion of the exam as per the schedule notified. Students will be responsible for any damage caused for the books. If a book is lost the students will be required to pay the current market price of the book

The reprographic facilities are available in Central Library for the students and faculty members, at a very nominal rate.

Cyber library is located at the First floor of the Library. 30 computers are installed for the use of Students and Faculty Members. Users can access the online subscribed resources of the library.

• Users must carry their Library Membership card while using the Cyber Library. They must show their ID card on demand.
• Users are advised to make use of this facility only to support their academic activities.
• Online chatting/dating, browsing of social networking sites is strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
• Changing the settings and display of the computers kept in the Library is not permitted.
• Users should not use USB devices / pen drives for data transfer to avoid the entry of computer virus. Such file/data transfer can be done as e-mail attachments.
• Readers should not remove/unplug computer cables/connections, network cables and other peripherals/accessories in the library
• It is our collective responsibility, as far as the safety of the systems are concerned. Please bring to the notice of the Librarian any misuse of the systems.
• Librarian reserves the right to stop extending this facility to a person found misusing, apart from initiating action as per the rules by the College Authorities.

Library is conducting user orientation programme every year to the freshers at the beginning of the academic year

Access to the Library's electronic resources is available from the Internet. Users can access the databases, electronic books, and electronic journals.

To motivate the students to make the efficient use of the library and its services, the Best Library User Award’ has been started from 2011-2012. Two students are selected one from the UG and One from the PG, on the basis of the statistical data, accession of books, reading aptitude of the student, utilization of library resources, discipline and the review of the Library Advisory Committee. Every year this award conferred on the occasion of College Annual Day.
